Autumn Pierro

My Story 

Autumn Pierro is a Mi’kmaq from Cape Breton,Nova Scotia, born into a creative family. As one of seven children, there was always something interesting going on, She likes to share her art with her family,her older sisters became teachers her brother became a carpenter and her mom became a teacher.

While her brother and father drummed at Powwows, she and her siblings explored art and photography. Her father’s drumming schedule allowed the family to travel, and Autumn enjoyed dancing and participating in Powwows,

Autumn’s everyday life was interrupted by a health scare that kept her in the hospital for seven months, but that has not stopped her creative curiosity as she moves through the world.
